Marquez Varsity football lost their last game leaving our Gladiators disappointed. The football team was devastated that they did not play to their best abilities having hopes to continue on into playoffs, but due to injuries caused from previous games, they failed to win.

The seniors looked forward for this game considering that their high school football career is over. With the loss of Mark Toledo and Joseph Mancillas, the team was not able to play to their full capacity. However, Pedro Molina scored the touchdown and Damian Cortez made a two point conversion losing 34-8 against Rancho Dominguez High School.

Throughout the season the football team faced many obstacles leading them into playoffs without their defensive coordinator, Richard Sosa. The football coach was suspended after the previous game, due to malpractice in the sidelines. The team was left independent the whole game. Blocks during the game and injuries from previous battles costed the team the win against Rancho Dominguez High School.

Marquez's football season has come to an end since the varsity team wasn't successful with defeating the Rancho Dominguez Wolves. However, the football team left with pride, and has made Marquez proud for making it so far and progressing immensely from their prior season.
